  • My Unit Plan would consist of eighth grade children.
  • The lesson plan is intended for children ranging from ages thirteen or fourteen.
  • I expect to have some children with learning disabilities. That is why I would give more points for effort than ability.

Day One

  • Give out assignment which will be due in two weeks.
  • Students are to find out about different family members.
  • Students also need to find a photograph and have an interesting story to incorporate into their collage.
  • Fill out a chart from this web cite.

  • Students will have one and a half weeks to turn in final piece.
  • The students will have something that represents their family member incorporated into their project.

  • The groups will be made diverse.
  • The groups will discuss their ideas, stories, family trees, and their final projects with one another after each due date.

  • The students will be evaluated on whether or not they turned in their chart, their photograph, and had a story.
  • The students will also be evaluated on their art piece and how well they showed color, creativity, neatness, technique, and effort.
