  4. What does a Dressage Test look like?

  5. What Happens during the Marathon • Adrenaline rush • Raison d’etre! • Test of Stamina and agility for the horse • Test of memory and NERVE for the driver!

  6. The Role of the Backstepper • Present in All Phases • Most important in Marathon Phase • Each Section has time window • Backstepper works out times and ensures team sticks to time • Critically important for balance in obstacles

  7. Cones • Up to 20 sets of cones with balls on top; you drive through the middle of them • The course is between 500m – 800m long • There is only 10cms clearance of the carriage on each side • There is a maximum time to complete the course.

  9. The British Driving Society Primarily showing (Private Driving & Light Trade) Area Commissioners responsible for arranging training, social events, TREC and pleasure driving events in their county LHHI – Light Harness Horse Instructor Road safety

  10. COMPETITION LEVELS Driving Trials has several levels of competition to cater for novices (beginners) up to Internationals and World Championships ODE/Indoors Outdoors Indoors Club 2DE Regional 2DE National 3DE

  11. CLASSES Single Horse or Pony – divided into Pre-Novice, Novice, Intermediate, Open and Advanced Multiples Horse or Pony (Open and Advanced Pairs, Tandem, Teams) Occasionally see Unicorn and Randem

  12. OUR CLUB Opportunity here for presenting club to enter events such as training, competitions, social events Dates for the current year
