Background • Marriage before the age of 18 is a reality for many young women. • According to UNICEF's estimates, around 65 million women aged 20-24 were married or in union before the age of 18. • Child marriage compromises the girls’ development and often results in early pregnancy and social isolation • World Fit for Children target: End harmful traditional or customary practices, such as early and forced marriage [...] which violate the rights of children and women MICS4 Survey Design Workshop
