  6. Mission of Camp Perkins The mission of Camp Perkins is to… support the ministry of its member congregations and to make and nurturedisciples for Jesus Christ. The ministry provides Christian learning and renewal opportunities, thereby building up the community of believers and reaching out to the world in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Delegate Roles & Responsibilities • Your Role as a Delegate • Exchanging information between Camp Perkins and the member churches • Share the Camp ministry with your congregation and share your congregational needs and desires with Camp • Your Responsibilities as a Delegate • Attend the annual convention at Camp Perkins, Delegates Forums and consider serving on a committee • Speak and vote on behalf of your congregation • Keep your congregation & leadership informed of activities & opportunities at Camp Perkins (summer camp, retreats, employment, etc.) • Contact person for fund raising for Camp Perkins • Actively pray for the ministry at Camp WE NEED YOU!!

By-law amendment • Board consists of 1 Pastor from each of the 3 NW District Circuits • Treasure Valley / Magic Valley / Yellowstone • Yellowstone unable to fill Board seat • Proposal • In the event a Pastor cannot fill the Board seat, the Circuit Counselor may appoint a licensed Deacon • 1 year term with re-evaluation by the Circuit Counselor with input from the Board • Provides adequate Board representation

By-law amendment… Whereas pastoral representation from each circuit is desired, preferred, and deemed important on the Camp Perkins Board of Directors, and whereas pastoral representation may at times, and in certain places be unavailable, and whereas the circuit counselor is suitably appointed and qualified to determine if pastoral representation is unattainable from his circuit, Be it resolved that the circuit counselor from any circuit where Pastoral representation is unavailable may appoint a licensed deacon from said circuit to serve as the circuit's pastoral representative on the Camp Perkins Board of Directors, and Be it resolved that this appointment be re-evaluated by the circuit counselor in conversation with the Camp Perkins Board of Directors at the end of every term of service [on the board for a lay deacon] to determine if pastoral representation is again available. Article V—Board of Directors Section 1. The Board of Directors shall consist of thirteen members: a representative of the International Lutheran Laymen's League; one pastor from each of Northwest District Circuits 10 (Treasure Valley), 11 (Magic Valley), and 12 (Yellowstone); a minister of religion–commissioned; seven members at large. The Executive Director of CPLOM is a non-voting member of the Board of Directors. In the event a pastor is not available from one of the Northwest District Circuits 10, 11 &12, the circuit counselor from any circuit where pastoral representation is unavailable may appoint a licensed deacon from said circuit to serve as the circuit's pastoral representative on the Camp Perkins Board of Directors. This appointment will be re-evaluated by the circuit counselor in conversation with the Camp Perkins Board of Directors at the end of every year to determineifpastoral representation is again available.
