Position Name: VP of Professional Development Candidate:Durmus Cesur, Ph.D., PMP, PE… • Experience: • Have been Alamo PMI chapter (San Antonio, TX PMI Chapter) • VP of Professional Development in 2008 • VP of Programs (President Elect) in 2009 respectively and as part of these positions organized and conducted many events, training classes and many others and developed strategic plans and other documentation • Have been managing projects/programs for over 15 years using best management practices in the positions I held in private and public sector companies and academia including; • DCHC MPO, GIS/Database/Web Program Manager • San Antonio River Authority, Enterprise GIS Program Manager • Space Imaging (now GeoEye), IS/GIS consultant • Intera Inc., IS/GIS/Engineering Consultant • Have been teaching Project Management classes at the universities, colleges • Have conducted workshops, seminars and training classes for professionals in project management topics for over 10 years. • Have published papers on project management in various PMI publications and other journals as well.

VP of Professional Development • Chapter Goals and Objectives: • NCPMI Specific Goals • Provide best quality training opportunities, workshops, seminars conferences, for NC PMI members for obtaining and retaining their project management credentials • NCPMI Specific Objectives • Seek and recruit best possible resources (people/trainers) with given budget for NC PMI training, workshops and conferences • Inform NC PMI members on best practices, current and future trends on PM and associated topics and trends with insights • Collaborate with area organizations/companies for training, workshops, conferences on their project management practices
