Bell Work How To • Always LABEL you bell workwith the date. • You may use the same page for several of your bell works. • ALWAYS use at least THREE complete sentences to answer the question. • Save your bell work for bell work check in’s. • If you miss class, you may go onto Mrs V’s website to get the missed bell work question. It is YOUR responsibility to get the bell work completed.

  3. Bell Work #10 Explain how you would encourage a younger person to become interested in music. Use Three Complete sentences.

  4. Planner • Homework: No Homework!

  5. Today I will learn: • I will apply my knowledge of music notation and demonstrate my knowledge through creation of a musical idea. • I will work in a team. • I will demonstrate I can count music.

  6. Group Work • 1. Join with your partner. • 2. AT THE SAME TIME, count (out loud) and clap your rhythm. (2 times) • 3. Mrs. V will combine you with your large group. • 4. ALL TOGETHER: count (out loud) and clap your rhythm. (2 times) • 5. Wait for further instruction.

  7. Instruments • Each person must choose a different instrument– the exception is that two may be on snare drum. • 1. Bass Drum • 2. Snare Drum #1 • 3. Snare Drum #2 • 4. Conga • 5. Bongo • 6. Wood Blocks

  8. Each Group @ Instruments • 1. You have 5 minutes to: • A. practice your rhythm– make sure you are counting out loud! • B. Mrs. V will be listening to each of you and then to your group. • C. Do your best! • 2. When you are done on instruments: • A. HAND IN: Music notation worksheet packet & drumming project worksheet.

  9. Exit: • Q&A write one complete sentence to answer each question. • 1. How do you think your drumming performance went? • 2. What could you have done to improve your performance?
