Resolution T-17182 • In response to the Commission’s new CASF program, carriers submitted 23 projects amounting to $24 M for CASF funding for unserved areas. • This resolution approves 6 awards for unchallenged projects totaling about $373,000 to serve approximately 1,294 prospective households. • 16 proposed broadband projects for unserved areas were challenged or found to be already served. • One proposed project was not considered as the applicant is not a telephone corporation.

Next Steps • Resolution addressing the remaining 16 challenged proposed broadband projects in unserved areas will be presented to the Commission in its January 29, 2009 meeting. • Resolution addressing proposed broadband projects in underserved areas will be presented for Commission consideration in its February (for unchallenged applications) and March 2009 (for challenged applications) meetings.
