  2. tratarus was a deep pit located inside of hades tartarus was a deep pit located inside of hades. it would take 18 days to fall from heaven to reach its depth 9 days from earth. sinners and corrupt people were sent there. first there were cyclops, titans, and off spring of Gaia and typhon. walls were tripled to keep sinners escaping.

  3. 6 Houses of the dead  - Souls went through a test to see if you want to paradise or stood in torture - 1 Dark House - Completley dark inside have to outwit the dark  2 - Cold house - Bone chilling cold bon rattling hail,You need to keep yourself warm  3- Jaguar House- Hungry jaguars tried to attack you, You had to battle them  4- Bat House Full of dangerous, Shrieking bats, you had to dodge them 5- Razor house- full of blades and razors that move on their own accord. You had to figure out rhythm of blade movements to escape  6- Half house

Eygptian Afterlife • Death was a temporary interruption. • The mummies had to have Ka,Ba, and Akh. • Book of death was read by decreased so they did not lose their way or face obstacles. • Book of death, food, jewelry were placed with the body so the dead does not get possessed in the afterlife. • Egyptians believed that the body was the link to a spiritual existence in the afterlife. • The afterlife was a heavenly place if you reached it. • The afterlife was described as a perfect Egypt-heaven on Earth.
