PRESS RELEASE AUIPS71XX Family of 65V High Side Intelligent Power Switches DATA SHEET The AUIPS7121R and AUIPS7141R are 65V high side intelligent power switches with current sense that feature integrated protection from over temperature, over current and ESD in order to protect the device itself. In addition to the protection features, the AUIPS71XX family provides an accurate current feedback of +/- 5% over the operating temperature range. The AUIPS71XX family is capable of operating repetitively under short circuit conditions according to the latest AEC-Q100 standards. HI-RES GRAPHIC Automotive HOME PAGE • Advantages • Developed for harsh 24V automotive environments with a 65V active clamp and enhanced short circuit performances, the AUIPS71XX family is particularly suitable for lamp loads in junction box truck applications. • The main challenge in truck junction box applications is the performance under short circuit conditions. The latest AEC-Q100 standards require the IPS to operate under short circuit with zero failure for several million cycles. Because of the over current shut down strategy, the AUIPS71XX family can operate for extended periods of time under short circuit conditions. This feature is a big differentiator and is not offered by IR competitors.
