  3. What to do? • Complete parts III and IV of the adjective vs. adverb handout.

  4. What to do? *ON a separate sheet of paper: 2. Find two examples each of the following imageries: AUDITORY, KINETIC, and VISUAL. Write only the part of the quote that demonstrates the imagery: (“…littered with beer cans…with dirty socks and the stuffing from the second-hand couch” (paragraph 3). Cite the paragraph number. Then EXPLAIN what EFFECT that particular image has on the text as a whole.

  5. Logical sequencing Small groups. Put the slips into the correct logical order. Think of the chain-link fence idea: ends meet beginnings meet ends meet beginnings and so on…
