Events of Act III Metellus asks Caesar to repeal the banishment of his brother Caesar refuses Conspirators stab Caesar – Casca first, Brutus last Antony lies to the conspirators about being loyal to them Brutus & Cassius argue about Antony speaking at the funeral Brutus wins – Antony will speak Brutus speaks first – they did it for the good of Rome Antony speaks last – convinces the plebians it was murder Brutus & Cassius flee Rome Kill Cinna the poet for having the same name as one of the conspirators

  4. The Climax? Brutus and Cassius have fled Rome (We know they’re not going to be considered honorable and will not get away with it. Caesar’s death WILL be avenged.)
