The Fur Trade
Louis Jolliet was a French Explorer born September 21th 1645, in Quebec City, Canada. He pursued religious and musical studies at first. But later on in his amazing life, he decided to become a fur trader. He died around the 1700s, near The Saint Lawrence River.
In 1673, he went on a trip with Jacques Marquette along the Mississippi River, and with the help from the Native Americans, they were led to the Gulf of Mexico.
Born June 1th, Laon France. Died in May 18th, 1675 Michigan, United States.
