  2. Background Information • Born: February 11th, 1847, In Milan, Ohio • Parents • Wives: Mary Stilwell and later Mina Miller • Was one of 7 other siblings • Little formal education • Two Jobs • Death: October 18th, 1931

  3. Accomplishments • World record of patents • Mostly known for is the light bulb. • Most of his inventions are still in use today. • Contribution: Light Bulb; None of his inventions failed.

  4. Qualities • Only invented useful items • He never gave up • Achieved many things • He also always thought positive.

  5. Interesting Facts • Phobia of the dark and spiders • 1,093 patents in lifetime • Loss of some hearing • Had many titles • Producing the light bulb. • “It’s very beautiful over there.”
