Objectives LEONARDO DA VINCI • To reinforce the attractiveness and effeciency of vocational education and training systems, institutions and practices. • To improve/develop the transparency and recognition of qualifications and competences including those acquired through non-formal and informal learning • To encourage the development and verification of the ECVET system • To support the establishment of European Qualification Network

Objectives LEONARDO DA VINCI • To improve the quality of vocational training and to increase the volume of mobilities throughout Europe of people involved in initial vocational education and training. • To support innovation in vocational education and training systems and institutions • To improve co-operation between institutions or organisations providing learning opportunities, companies, social partners and other relevant bodies • To develop the competences of teachers, trainers and tutors • To encourage the learning of modern foreign languages

  5. How? LEONARDO DA VINCI by the development of: • Partnerships between all actors of vocational education and training sector, • Mobility of individuals, • The development of new tools and methods of vocational education and training, • The exchange of good practices.

Additional actions LEONARDO DA VINCI Mobility It offers exceptional opportunity to improve or complete one's professional training in another European country Partnerships New cooperation opportunity Projects dealing with development and transfer of innovation Network projects professional training engineering to prepare these projects: preparatory visitsand European contact seminars

  7. For who? LEONARDO DA VINCI • Institutions or organisations providing learning opportunities in vocational education and training. • Teachers, trainers, tutors • Companies, private sector • Public authorities • Social partners • Workers and job seekers • Apprentice, pupil, trainee, ect in IVT)

Mobility LEONARDO DA VINCI Priotities • Increase the mobility of persons in a dual apprenticeship system or other vocational education system based on alternate learning or work-related training in enterprises . • Ensure the development of competences of teachers, trainers and tutors • Intensify cooperation with SMEs • Ensure high quality mobility

Mobility (continuation) LEONARDO DA VINCI Types of actions • Internships in companies or training centres, • Exchange of experience between vocational education and training professionals from different European countries. Mobility= a stay in a foreign country lasting at least one week, for one person.

Target group Duration • PLM :people on the labour market, recent graduatesand workers. 2 to 26 weeks FPI :Initial Vocational Education and training technical and vocational departments ofsecondary schools (), trainees, pupil, apprentice 2 to 39 weeks PRO EFP:Professionals from the VET sector 1 to 6 weeks Target group and mobilities LEONARDO DA VINCI

Partnerships LEONARDO DA VINCI Objectives: • Cooperation between institutions and/or organisations providing learning opportunities, companies, social partners, • Cooperation between other relevant bodies, including political partners /decision makers. In order to reach a joint result: Report onthe issues at stake, conference, product realised by the trainees.

  12. 2. Partenerships (continued) LEONARDO DA VINCI Characteristics: • Minimum 3 partners from 3 countries, at least one has to be a training institution or organisation. • Content should be directly connected with Vocational Education and Training (VET). • Duration of project : 2 years

Partnerships (continued) LEONARDO DA VINCI Type of activities: • Project of cooperation between all types of actors, including companies and interns. • For activities such as : • Exchange of teachers and interns, • Common work on the content of trainingships, • Active cooperation between teachers and trainers . • Realisation of technical tools, products, development of a common training method • Exchange and transfer of experience and good practices. • In order to reach a joint result: report on issues at stake, conference, products realised by trainees

Partnerships (continued) LEONARDO DA VINCI Financed actions/activities: • Local activities: publications, computer software, translation, language training, organisation of conferences • Travel costs, cost of living and insurance during the period of mobility. • Lump sum for the whole duration of project according to the number of mobilities per partner • Different amounts for each country.

Multilateral projects: Transfer of Innovation LEONARDO DA VINCI Strategic priorities: • Support of transparency and recognition of competences and certifications. • Development of the quality and attractiveness of VET systems and practices, • Development of skills and competences of VET teachers, tutors and trainers, • Development professionals' skills in line with the labour market needs, • Raising of competence levels of groups at risk ( including senior workers) • Encouraging the integration of groups at risk into the labour market. • Promotion of equal opportunities

Multilateral projects: Transfer of innovation (continued) LEONARDO DA VINCI • Innovative? = has not been used yet, aiming at modernisation of VET system • Practical? = tools and training, teaching methods, training or orientation tools (qualification, reference frame) work approach or methodology.

Financed activities LEONARDO DA VINCI • Adaptation to the context/to the current situation: updating ofproduct or method, translation etc., • Development and/or production activities • Evaluation, • Integration (or certification) intoregional, national, European and/or sectoral practices and systems, • Project quality management, • Partnership management, • Transnational cooperation, • Dissemination and exploitation of results
