What Worked Well • Weekly meetings were to the point. • Laid out milestones • Talk about progress • Make goals for the next week • Ordered components early • Early on realized we needed an expansion board we hadn’t considered. • Got hardware portion done early • Use teammate strengths to your advantage when working together. • Programming • Soldering • PIC knowledge • Data sheets / pin layouts

What Went Wrong • LCD was wired slightly wrong • Searched blogs and forums with similar errors • Reviewed data sheets and PIC tutorials • Working with the UP network • Test at home first, work with someone in the department • Coding in C • EE’s not CS’s • Programming a PIC • Choose one that is user-friendly • Have a human resource like Dr. Lu standing by
