  3. History • Ngi, founded in 1958 as the Dutch Automation Company • One of the founding fathers of CEPIS • CEPIS still registered at the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce

  4. VRI • Founded in 1984; • Society of Registred IT workers • With rules on • Code of conduct and • Permanent Education; • Per 1/1/2009: Nederlands Informatici Register (NIR) in conjunction with Ngi

  7. VRI-Code of Ethics The Code of Ethics of the VRl has been developed to serve as an evolving framework for the philosophy, actions and control of persons who want to be recognized as RI’s (Registered Information Scientists) in practicing their profession of informatics.
