Basic Modes of Interpreting Revelation Nelson’s Book of Bible Maps and Charts • Preterist: All the events of the book occurred during the Roman empire • Historical: Revelation described a panorama of Church history since the first century • Idealist: Revelation is not about actual events, but rather about the triumph of good over evil • Futurist: Chapel 4 & on are about the future

  3. C&MA Faith Statement • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent, and will be personal, visible, and premillennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.
