  16. P2 Pressure switch (over and under pressure) P1 Main switch P1>P2 Ignition Protection EEx ‘p’ Concept : Removes any hazardous atmosphere from inside an enclosure and then maintains the interior as a "Safety area" Non-certified apparatus may be used inside with few restrictions Design stds: CENELEC : EN50016 BS5501 : Part 3 IEC 79-2 UK Code of Practice B55345 : Part

  17. p Ignition Protection EEx ‘p’ Suitable for Zone 1 and 2 (Zone1 과 Zone2에 사용된다) 장점 : • Sometimes the only solution (다른 방법이 없는 경우) • Can protect large volumes, panels and control rooms (대형 시스템, 판넬, 제어실 보호용) • Can have large margin of error before danger results ( 위험한 결과 이전에 여유가 있다) • Useful for VDUs (영상 화면 장치에 유용하다) 단점 : • Clean air is not free, has to be filtered, pumped etc. (공기 정화용 필터와 펌프 등을 사용해야 한다) • Can be expensive (높은 비용) • Live working is not permissible (보수중 작동불가)

  18. Ignition Protection EEx ‘o’ Minimum depth: 25 mm between top of the device and surface of the oil Concept : - Prevents access of flammable atmosphere to ossible ignition sources by immersion in mineral insulating oil (Heavy current switchgear and transformers) Design Stds : CENELEC : EN50015 BS5501: Part 2 IEC 79-6 UK code of Practice BS 5345: Part 9 *스위치 기어나 트랜스포머에 사용되는 기술로 위험의 원인이 될수있는 장비를 무기질의 oil에 잠기게 함으로서 폭발 가능한 환경을 제거하도록 한 구조

  19. Ignition Protection EEx ‘q’ Concept : Code letter "q" stands for quartz but filling medium is commonly small glass or silica beads (Telephone and Luminaires) Design stds: CENELEC: EN50017 BS5501: Part 4 IEC 79-5 UK code of pratice BS 5345 : Part 9 *점화원이 될 우려가 있는 부분을 모래나 기타 물질로 채워서 아아크나 점화에너지 이상의 잘못이 발생하더라도 자체에서 폭발이 일어나지 않도록한 구조. 그러나 오늘날에는 방폭용 전화기 외에 거의 쓰이지 않는다.

  20. Ignition Protection EEx ‘m’ Concept : A relatively new method of protection : Encapsulated apparatus was previously certified Ex"s" Design stds: CENELEC: EN 50028:1988 BS5501: Part 8 IEC: None *전기기기나 부품을 주의환경의 영향에 충분히 견디는 수지로 몰딩시켜 그수지 내부에서 발생하는 스파크나 열에 의해 점화가 일어나지 않도록 만든 구조

  22. s s Ignition Protection EEx ‘d’ Concept : Permits gas - air mixture access to the inside of the enclosure but prevents ignition transfer to the outside Design Stds : CENELEC : EN50018 IEC : 79-1 BS5501 : Part 5 UK code of practice BS 5345 : Parts * 점화원이 될 우려가 있는 부분 즉 불꽃, 아아크 또는 과열이 생길 우려가 있는 부분을 밀폐구조인 용기에 넣어 만일 외부의 폭발성 가스가 내부로 침입해서 폭발을 하였을때 용기가 그압력에 견디어 파손되지 않고 폭발한 고열가스가 용기의 접합부 틈으로 부터 외부로 유출되는 일이 있어도 그동안에 냉각되어 외부의 폭발성 가스에 점화가 파급될 우려가 없도록하는 구조

  23. s s Ignition Protection EEx ‘d’ • 단점 : • No Live Maintence (보수시 Main power를 반드시 OFF 시켜야한다) • Need More Space (많은 공간이 필요하다) • More Weight (무게가 많이 실린다) • Expensive (비싸다) • High Maintence Cost (보수시 많은 유지비가 든다)

  24. Methods not covered by the other standards Ignition Protection EEx ‘s’ Design stds CENELEC : None IEC : None BS : None BASEEFASFA 3009 UK code of practice BS 5345 : Part 8 *특수 방폭 기기는 그 구조, 재료, 사용장소, 사용방법 등을 고려하여, 시험 기타에 의해 해당 전기 기기에 대한 폭발성 분위기로 점화를 분명히 방지할 수 있음을 검정 기관으로부터 증명 받은 구조를 말한다
