COMPANY PRESENTATION Taforge a.s. • belongs to the holding TATRA TRUCKS, a.s. • in the Czech Republic the company is one of the market leaders among forges specializing in die forging • offers a wide variety of die forgings whose weight ranges from 0.5 to 60 kg and free forgings weighing up to 150 kg • provides comprehensive solutions to meet all requirements: design of forged product, tool construction and production, forging production and heat treatment as well as chip machining

HISTORY • 1853 – forge founded by Ignác Šustala • 1887 – production of carriages launched • 1897 – first car (Präsident) • 1920 – TATRA brand introduced, railroad car and automobile company built • 1957 – new forge and related operations established • 1996 – Kovárna TATRA, a.s. company founded • 2002 – Taforge a.s. company renamed

  4. QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS • Quality control standards • EN ISO 9001:2008 • ISO/TS 16949:2009 • Certificate - České dráhy, a.s. qualification to supply parts for railway cars, produced by die forging and free forging, including heat treatment

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT • Strong technical background with comprehensive use of technologies: • CAD/CAM technology • 2D and 3D SW NX solutions • Simulfact – simulation of forming processes • MIG/MAG welding machines and CNC-machines used in forging tools production • EBS Oracle information system • Main machinery • Power hammers – impact energy of 40 - 250 kJ • Crank forging presses – forming force of 15,000 – 65,000 kN • Horizontal forging presses – forming force of 2,500 – 20,000 kN • Screw presses – forming force of 1,000 – 10,000 kN • Calibration crank presses – forming force of 20,000 kN • Cross-wedge rolling machine maximum diameter of 100 mm

PRODUCT RANGE • Rotating forgings made of alloy or carbon steel with an outer diameter ranging from 50 do 400 mm, forged on toggle presses with a forming force from 15,000 to 65,000 kN • Steel shafts stepped shafts forged with a diameter ranging from 30 to 120 mm and a maximum length of 900 mm • Upset forgings from the original material with a maximum diameter up to 100 mm, length up to 2,000 mm and with a diameter of upset forged part up to 220 mm • Connecting rods from rough forgings produced by cross rolling, using the input material with a diameter up to 100 mm • Steering arms • Free forgings • Complex-shaped forgings
