Revised Course Task Lists and Frameworks Geospatial Technology I Advanced Drawing and Design Technology Education Disadvantaged Technology Education Disabled 18 Week Course Tasklists www.cteresource.org Revised Course Task Lists, Student Competencies and Frameworks for Culinary Arts I, II; Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation I, II; Fashion Design I, II; Interior Design I, II; and Early Childhood Education I, II are available online at http://www.cteresource.org. Please remind teachers to download the student competency record and the curriculum frameworks. Certifications and Assessments NOCTI (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) AutoCAD Solidworks Brainbench, Other The certifications and assessments for family and consumer sciences are listed in the Administrative Planning Guide. NOCTI provides an assessment for Commercial Foods, Early Childhood Care and Education, Food Production Management and Services, Hospitality Management --- Food and Beverage Option, Hospitality Management – Lodging Option, and Retail Commercial Baking. The Education Foundation of the National Restaurant Association offers the ProStart Level I and II program certifications. The American Hotel and Lodging Association offers START certification in Hospitality Skills. The certifications and assessments for family and consumer sciences are listed in the Administrative Planning Guide.     8. The 2008 Virginia FCCLA STAR Events will be held in conjunction with the State Leadership & Recognition Conference, tentatively scheduled for April 4-6 in Virginia Beach. Virginia STAR Events Scholarships for 2007-08 From Johnson & Wales University: 1st place of $1,000; 2nd place of $750; and 3rd place of $500 in the occupational categories of: Applied Technology Culinary Arts Entrepreneurship Job Interview NOTE:  These are four-year renewable scholarships. From the Baltimore International College: 1st place of $5,000; 2nd place of $4,000; 3rd place of $3,000 in the following events: Culinary Arts Culinary Arts Exhibit (Career Portfolio & Work Sample) Entrepreneurship, occupational Hospitality Job Interview, occupational NOTE:  The second year of enrollment at Baltimore International College will bring an additional $2,500 scholarship to each of these winners.  The 2008 Virginia FCCLA STAR Events will be held in conjunction with the State Leadership & Recognition Conference, tentatively scheduled for April 4-6 in Virginia Beach.
