11. 60-hour/7-day limit • A driver cannot drive after having been on duty for 60 hours in any 7 consecutive days • A driver may do non-driving work after reaching the limit, but the hours must be added to the total 4a

12. 70-hour/8-day limit • A driver cannot drive after having been on duty for 70 hours in any 8 consecutive days • A driver may do non-driving work after reaching the limit, but the hours must be added to the total 4b

13. On-duty time • All time at a carrier or shipper plant, terminal, facility, or other property, or on any public property, waiting to be dispatched 5a

14. On-duty time • All time inspecting equipment or inspecting, servicing or conditioning any motor vehicle • All driving time 5b

15. On-duty time • All time (other than driving time) in or upon any commercial motor vehicle except time resting in a sleeper berth 5c

23. Sleeper-berth option • 10-hour break may be taken in two separate periods: • One period must be at least 8 consecutive hours in a sleeper berth (this is excluded from 14-hour calculation) • Remaining 2 or more hours can be off duty, sleeper berth, or any combination of the two (this is included in 14-hour calculation) 6a

24. Sleeper-berth option • After second qualifying rest period, to calculate available hours count forward from end of first rest period and: • Subtract driving time from 11 • Subtract all time from 14 (except any 8-hour sleeper periods) 6b

25. Sleeper-berth option • Driver is in compliance: 6c

26. Short-haul exceptions • 100-air-mile-radius exception • 16-hour short-haul exception • Non-CDL-driver short-haul exception 7a

27. 100 air-mile radius exception • Operate within 100 air-mile radius of normal work reporting location • Return to work reporting location and released within 12 consecutive hours 7b

28. 100 air-mile radius exception • At least 10 hours separate each 12 hours on duty • No more than 11 hours driving time following 10 hours off duty 7c

29. 100 air-mile radius exception • Maintain time records for 6 months: • Time driver reports for duty • Time driver is released from duty • Total number of hours driver is on duty each day 7d

30. 16-hour short-haul exception • Drive 11 hours within 16-hour window once per 7 days • Returned to work reporting location after last 5 duty tours worked • Released within 16 hours (from same work reporting location) after coming on duty 7e

31. 16-hour short-haul exception • Has not taken exception in previous 6 days, except after 34-hour restart 7f

32. Non-CDL-driver short-haul exception • Applies to driver who: • Does not need a CDL • Stays within a 150-air-mile radius of work reporting location • Returns to that location after each duty tour 7g

33. Non-CDL-driver short-haul exception • Standard log not required. • Must maintain time records for 6 months: • Time driver reports for duty • Time driver is released from duty • Total number of hours driver is on duty each day 7h

34. Non-CDL-driver short-haul exception • Drive 11 hours within 16-hour window twice per 7 days • Reset with 34-hour restart • Must comply with 10-, 11-, and 60/70-hour rules • May not use other short-haulexceptions 7i
