  3. Walruses, Whales and Seals, Oh My! • We will spend several classes discussing the three orders of marine mammals. • Among other, we will learn about: Seals Walruses Whales

  4. Additional Topics • This class will also cover the topic of exploitation/conservation. • We will discuss items ranging from military use to preservation.

  5. Guest Presentations • Two class sessions will be devoted to guest speakers on the following topics: • Careers in Oceanography • Endangered Marine Mammals

  6. “Gone Fishing” • Class laboratory time will be spent at either the aquarium or other local marine habitats. These exciting events will include: • Hands on activities with the marine mammals • Video presentations of various topics relating to marine biology • Question & Answer sessions with local marine biology experts
