  2. Formation AND Synergy This is the scenario that we often come across in our daily life. • SO there is a direct need to create an awareness about ELECTRICITY CONSERVATION among social masses.

  3. Project identification and process • Energy crisis is one of the most significant issue in present scenario. • To save energy for the next generation the best thing we can do is to create awareness. • A small thoughtful act can make a great leap. • So THINK ACT SAVE. • Hence we joined hands together for the move.

INDIVIDUAL ROLE IN PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION • Anagha: resource collection from power house, poster making, informing students about the events, correspondence with faculties,preperation of blog ,ppt,purchasing. • Anusuya: resource collection from power house, poster making, informing students about the events,preperation of video, blog ,ppt. • Anusree: resource collection from power house, poster making, informing students about the events, correspondence with faculties, preperation of video, blog ,ppt,purchasing.

  6. Challenges.. We fought with.. • It was tedious work to collect information regarding current consumption in the college. • For the class wise poster competition , the response from students were weak at first. • Our exhibition “KILL A WATT” was between Sunday & Diwali holiday. Since our intention was to create mass awareness, we were confused about the student participation.

  7. But it was a grand success .. • We got solid data regarding different aspects of current consumption in our college. • Out of 20 classes we invited for the poster competion,14 classes responded with interesting and new ideas. • Got good student and faculty feedback for the posters. • Polling for the posters went above 800 • 167 students, from all streams, participated in writing competition.

FEEDBACKS & Experiences • It was for the first time ,coordinating such a mass event and thus, we understood the difficulties in it. • Visit to the power house of our college gave insight to the need of electricity conservation and the need of imparting awareness. • It was a differentexperience with a lot of excitement conducting the writing competition. Many students came up with new and innovative ideas. • We got full support from class.

PROJECT LEARNING. • By doing this project, we were able to make the people think about ELECTRICITY CONSERVATION at least for the moment when the competition was ON. • We became aware of what all we can do to conserve electricity . • We learnt how to work as a team, how to take up responsibilities and to move hand in hand.
