  2. 2024 The Vizhinjam Port which happens to be under the control of the Adani Group is all set to install a dynamic mooring system at the world-class transhipment port. This mooring system will help prevent ships from getting caught in surge and sway when they are docked at the port. This will help increase the post's efficiency. It will also allow large vessels to be docked at the port without any inconvenience. The port operations can be carried out in a much more smooth and effective manner. Adani Group Takes Up The Initiative To Install Advanced Mooring System At The Vizhinjam Port Amidst Adani Crisis: As per the latest news, the Vizhinjam port which happens to be one of the major ports under the control of the Adani Group, is all set to install a mooring system. This is being done to ensure that large vessels can get docked at the port conveniently. The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) which has brought the highest number of containers at the port has suggested that the port should also have a shore tension system. Page 03

Michele Aversa, who is the head of the fleet network at MSC, mentioned at the beginning of Vizhinjam Conclave that for the increase of vessels inside the port and to check the possible causes of surging, the survey and study from a project team to be completed. As per the study, it has been proposed that a shore tension system be installed at the port. The process for procuring the shore tension system is currently being reevaluated.
