  4. Pride in Lowestoft-Done 2018 Summer Festival including ‘Lowestoft Got Talent’ & Big Band Event– funded through WDC, LTC and SCC Cllrs and People Health Lottery. 4th Year for event. Royal Green Events notice board erected 2018 Suffolk Day sports on Beach event-300 children. Walk in the Park Events May Half term High Sheriff visit in March and June 2018 – Sam’s Café, Orbis Energy and Food Bank. Sentinel Leisure Facilities. Award Winners too. LR with Museums- Increased volunteering and activity at all 3 Museums involved in project.

Pride in Lowestoft- Doing • Youth Cultural Festival October Half Term in Town. • 2019 Summer Festival- Planning started • First Light Festival 2019- Sea Front new Festival • Lowestoft CEP “Big Sing”-Suffolk Day 2019- using Beach • Tackling the current Street Drinking problem in Town • Youth Take Over Day November- Mental Health • Land and Shore “ The HOLD” Project around lost Fishing Community. Clare Angell & Phil Aves

Aspirations – Cultural Education Partnership “LCEP” • The Grit, Grit Fest-Sparrows Nest • Watertight Words, glass topped wall with etching on sea defence • Once Upon a Festival, Orchestra’s Live and Untold Tales –Marina led CEP schools projects • Great Places – joint work with Gt Yarmouth on Culture and heritage • £568,000 worth of project delivery in schools/colleges via LCEP in 2 years.

Mental Well-Being • Mental Health Ambassador – Tod Sullivan – now employed by Access Community Trust and Chair of Feedback Mental Health User Network • Secured Churchill Fellowship to travel to America to research mental health best practice • 300 people attended trauma related Mental Health Conference Feb 2018 • Transition Ambassadors being trained as Mental Health Champions • Meeting introduction scheme – ‘how do you feel today’?

  8. Mental Well-Being • CCG leading on potential Crisis Café – out of hours mental health support • Lowestoft ‘Walk and Talks’ to help people to stay connected – work, schools and businesses • Launch of ‘Sporting Memories’ at the Library aimed at Over 55’s (particularly men)

  9. Interventions Increased referrals into the Interventions Process – over 150 cases so far . 25 Open cases currently. Early engagement of our 3 MEAM workers having positive impact on street homeless. MH provision now added. Ongoing multi-agency case conferencing tackles the most demanding cases on monthly basis Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP) provided through Access Community Trust at Fyffe Centre – even during ‘Beast from the East’ only 5 people accessed

  10. Integration and Collaboration Cohort 4 of Collaboration Academy – Ageing Well. Ageing Well Panel/Council completed. Ageing Well fayre created. Cohort 5 = Growing well –CYP Starts Nov £380k secured through Big Lottery for 3 Community Enablers in Lowestoft * Partnership work to save Food Bank * Street Chaplaincy Scheme – day time pastoral support led by Churches LTC invited to join LR Sponsor Group VCS Market Place event at Kirkley Centre

Case Study : Lottery Success More than £380k secured from the Big Lottery for Lowestoft Bid led by Community Action Suffolk and WDC on behalf of Lowestoft Rising Funding for 3 Community Enablers focussing on Kirkley, Harbour and Kessingland 3 year project focussing on social action, volunteering and community projects

Case Study : Partnership response Signpost East-led Food Bank collapsed in November 2017 Interim solution quickly deployed by Access Community Trust to maintain food bank service across most sites 22 tons of food moved by volunteers to new storage site Lowestoft Community Church led project to launch new Food Bank in February 2018 College and church volunteers working together 6 day coverage across Lowestoft plus outreach service
