Improvements to the VERITAS VIP Program • Changesin VERITAS’ strategic direction indicated a need to • streamline and improve order fulfillment • focus efforts on internal solutions and existing infrastructure investments • VERITAS Business Process Reengineering identified • changes to existing processes needed to enable the business to scale

  3. How this affects VERITAS Partners • All VIP web applications will now be hosted by VERITAS: Formerly http://www.veritas.licensetech.com/econtract/Veritas/administer.asp Becomes https://portal.veritas.com • New accounts and user access will be established to replace former accounts

  4. When does this occur? • Monday, May 19th • New accounts will be created and communicated as necessary before May 19th • Customer Support will be available from start of business on May 19th

  5. Navigating to the Portal Navigate to https://portal.veritas.com. For training, navigate to https://train-portal.veritas.com .

  6. Login Enter Username and Password and click Login.

  7. Portal Home Page View the Portal’s Home Page for a Reseller. Click VIP Program.

  8. VIP Home Page • New VIP functions are available: • Manage User Templates • Schedule Reports • Archive Reporting

  9. New VIP Portal Functions • Manage User Templates allows selection criteria to be specified for three standard reports: • VIP Customer Install Report • VIP Order Tracking • VIP Maintenance Renewal Report • Schedule Reports allows previously created User Templates to be scheduled for regular report delivery via email • Archive Reporting provides a frozen snapshot of VIP program data as of May 18th

  10. Previous VIP Portal Functions • VIP Agreement Inquiry allows searching of agreements to provide: • current point level of any agreement • customers and addresses covered by each agreement

  11. VIP Home Page Click VIP Agreement Inquiry.

  12. Entering a Customer Name for Searching • Type a Customer Name. • Click Search.

  13. Viewing Agreements by Customer Name Note current tier level, total VIP points, and points to next level. Click 58123.

  14. Viewing Customers for a Single Agreement Click App Home.

  15. Selecting Order Inquiry Click Order Inquiry.

  16. Entering a Customer Name for Order Inquiry Click Order Inquiry. • Click Customer Name radio button. • 2. Type a Customer Name. • 3. Click Search.

  17. Viewing Orders by Customer Name Click 3045076 .

  18. Viewing Order Detail Information Click App Home.

  19. Selecting Manage User Templates Click Manage User Templates.

  20. Managing User Templates Three types of templates exist. Click the radio button to select a particular template type.

User Templates • Allows selection criteria to be specified for a standard report • by selecting Filter Types • by specifying Filter Values • Compound selection criteria of multiple conditions is allowed • multiple Filter Types result in “AND” data selections • multiple Filter Values result in “OR” data selections • Templates are given a unique name • Templates can be tested immediately to verify accuracy of selection criteria • Email immediately • Download immediately

  22. Managing User Templates Click Manage Templates.

  23. Viewing Customer Install Report Templates No templates have yet been created. Click Create New Template.

  24. Selecting Filter Types and Filter Values • To create a template: • Select a Filter Type • Enter Filter Values • Enter a Template Name Once template parameters have been entered, click Create Template.

  25. Saving a User Template Once the template has been created, the report can be run immediately. Output can be emailed or downloaded. Click Download Now.

  26. Testing a Template by Downloading a Report Parameters must be entered to specify the date range for the template. Complete Start Date and End Date, and any other optional fields. Click Download Now.

  27. Opening the Download Report Output Click Open.

  28. Viewing Downloaded Report Output Click close window icon. Report output will be displayed.

  29. Returning to Manage User Templates Once templates have been created, return to this function to view all existing templates. Click Manage User Templates.

  30. Returning to View Existing User Templates Click Manage Templates.

  31. Viewing Existing User Templates All templates are displayed. Click App Home.

  32. Selecting Manage User Templates Click Manage User Templates.

  33. Selecting Templates for VIP Order Tracking Select VIP Order Tracking and Click Manage Templates.

  34. Viewing Templates for VIP Order Tracking No templates have yet been created. Click Create New Template.

  35. Selecting Filter Types and Filter Values • To create a template: • Select a Filter Type • Enter Filter Values • Enter a Template Name Once template parameters have been entered, click Create Template.

  37. Entering Shipped Date Range for Report Enter a date range of orders shipped for the report. Click Email Now.

  38. Confirmation of Report Being Emailed Confirmation message received. Click Manage User Templates.

  39. Selecting VIP Maintenance Renewal Report Select VIP Maintenance Renewal Report and Click Manage Templates.

  40. Viewing Existing Templates (None Exist) No templates have yet been created. Click Create New Template.

  41. Selecting Filter Types and Filter Values • To create a template: • Select a Filter Type • Enter Filter Values • Enter a Template Name Once template parameters have been entered, click Create Template.

  42. Selecting Download Report Now to View Report Once the template has been created, the report can be run immediately. Output can be emailed or downloaded. Click Download Now.

  43. Entering Maintenance Expiration Date Range for Report Parameters must be entered to specify the date range for the template. Complete Start Date and End Date, and any other optional fields. Click Download Now.

  44. Opening the Download File from the Report Click Open.

  45. Viewing the Report Download File Click close window icon. Report output will be displayed.

  46. Selecting Schedule Reports Click Schedule Reports.

  47. Scheduling a VIP Order Tracking Report Select the Report for scheduling. Click Manage Schedules.

  48. Selecting a Template for Scheduling Select the Template to schedule. Click Create Schedule.

  49. Selecting Scheduling Parameters Select the Time Interval, the File Type and Interval for Report. Click Schedule Now.

  50. Enabling a Scheduled Report Templates will display as unscheduled. Select a Template, and click Enable Schedule.
