  3. Digital marketing • Digital marketing is an umbrella term for the marketing of products or services using digital technologies, mainly on the Internet, but also including mobile phones, display advertising, and any other digital medium. • Digital marketing campaigns are becoming more prevalent and efficient. Digital marketing techniques such as search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), content marketing, influencer marketing, content automation, campaign marketing, data-driven marketing and e-commerce marketing, social media marketing(SMM), social media optimization(SMO), e-mail direct marketing. • Digital marketing is often referred to as 'online marketing', 'internet marketing' or 'web marketing'. The term digital marketing has grown in popularity over time, particularly in certain countries. • There are a number of ways brands can use digital marketing to benefit their marketing efforts. The use of digital marketing in the digital era not only allows for brands to market their products and services, but also allows for online customer support through 24/7 services to make customers feel supported and valued. • A key objective is engaging digital marketing customers and allowing them to interact with the brand through servicing and delivery of digital media. Information is easy to access at a fast rate through the use of digital communications. Users with access to the Internet can use many digital mediums, such as Face book, YouTube, Forums, and Email etc.

  4. Effective use of digital marketing can result in relatively lowered costs in relation to traditional means of marketing. Digital marketing is facilitated by multiple channels. Affiliate marketing, Email marketing, Search marketing etc. • The use of digital marketing in the digital era not only allows for brands to market their products and services, but also allows for online customer support through 24/7 services to make customers feel supported and valued. • Digital media is so pervasive that consumers have access to information any time and any place they want it. Gone are the days when the messages people got about your products or services came from you and consisted of only what you wanted them to know. • Digital media is an ever-growing source of entertainment, news, shopping and social interaction, and consumers are now exposed not just to what your company says about your brand, but what the media, friends, relatives, peers, etc., are saying as well. • Digital media is so pervasive that consumers have access to information any time and any place they want it. Gone are the days when the messages people got about your products or services came from you and consisted of only what you wanted them to know. • Digital marketing is the process of integrating platforms and customers’ experience through a digital channel. • Digital marketing offers the prospect of increasing and improving the interactions and relationships with current and prospective customers through, for instance, social networking sites, instant messaging systems and mobile applications (apps).

  5. Website development and designing • Website development is a broad term for the work involved in developing a web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network). • For larger organizations and businesses, web development teams can consist of hundreds of people (web developers) and follow standard methods like Agile methodologies while developing websites. • Smaller organizations may only require a single permanent or contracting developer, or secondary assignment to related job positions such as a graphic designer or information systems technician. Web development has also impacted personal networking and marketing. • Websites are no longer simply tools for work or for commerce, but serve more broadly for communication and social networking. • Web sites such as Facebook and Twitter provide users with a platform to communicate and organizations with a more personal and interactive way to engage the public. The above list is a simple website development hierarchy and can be extended to include all client side and server side aspects. • It is still important to remember that web development is generally split up into client side coding, covering aspects such as the layout and design, and server-side coding, which covers the website's functionality and back-end systems. • Some of this is dependent on the server environment on which the scripting language, such as ASP, JSP, Perl, PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby is running, and therefore is not necessarily down to the web developer themselves to maintain.

  6. Web designing • Web design encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. • The different areas of web design include web graphic design; interface design; authoring, including standardized code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimization. • Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers will cover them all. • Web designers use a variety of different tools depending on what part of the production process they are involved in. These tools are updated over time by newer standards and software but the principles behind them remain the same. • Web designers use both vector and raster graphics editors to create web-formatted imagery or design prototypes. Technologies used to create websites include W3C standards like HTML and CSS, which can be hand-coded or generated by WYSIWYG editing software. • Although web design has a fairly recent history, it can be linked to other areas such as graphic design. However, web design can also be seen from a technological standpoint. It has become a large part of people’s everyday lives. • It is hard to imagine the Internet without animated graphics, different styles of typography, background, and music. Since the start of the 21st century the web has become more and more integrated into people’s lives.

  7. As this has happened the technology of the web has also moved on. There have also been significant changes in the way people use and access the web, and this has changed how sites are designed. • Web designers may choose to limit the variety of website typefaces to only a few which are of a similar style, instead of using a wide range of typefaces or type styles. • Most browsers recognize a specific number of safe fonts, which designers mainly use in order to avoid complications. • Many types of programming language use in web designing like java, JavaScript,Python,CSS Cascading Style Sheets,PHP,Ruby,C++,C,Shell,C#,Objective C,R,VimL,Go,Perl etc. languages use n web designing.

  8. App development and designing • In today’s fast paced world people are wondering what really is mobile app development. Mobile application development is the process of making or creating a mobile application to run on various mobile platforms. • A mobile platform is a mobile operating system. Apple’s mobile operating system is called IOS, Google’s mobile platform is Android, RIM has Blackberry, and Windows has Windows Mobile. • Each platform has its own rules, regulations, and requirements to make a mobile application. For instance IOS mobile apps require the use of Objective C, whereas Android mobile applications use Java. • This is very important to understand because when making an application for mobile app development on the various mobile platforms you cannot just make one app and port it over to the next platform. • In addition you must consider what application stores you wish to have your mobile application highlighted in. Each mobile application store has its own requirements most mobile applications must meet outside the requirements for the mobile platform. • Mobile app development is a term used to denote the act or process by which a mobile app is developed for mobile devices, such as personal digital assistants, enterprise digital assistants or mobile phones.

  9. These applications can be pre-installed on phones during manufacturing platforms, or delivered as web applications using server-side or client-side processing (e.g., JavaScript) to provide an "application-like" experience within a Web browser. • As part of the development process, mobile user interface (UI) design is also essential in the creation of mobile apps. Mobile UI considers constraints, contexts, screen, input, and mobility as outlines for design. • The user is often the focus of interaction with their device, and the interface entails components of both hardware and software. Mobile application development is similar to Web application development and has its roots in more traditional software development. • One way to ensure that applications show optimum performance on a given device is to develop the application (app) natively on that device. • This means that at a very low level, the code is written specifically for the processor in a particular device. When an app needs to run on multiple operating systems, however, there is little -- if any -- code that can be reused from the initial development. • The application must essentially be rewritten for each specific device. Many languages use in app development like HTML5, Objective-C, C++, Swift, java etc. languages use in app development.

  10. App designing • There’s more to designing mobile apps than meets the eye. The task requires a deep knowledge of devices, and it often means changing the way we think — even if that means leaving behind much of what we’ve learned from designing for the web. • Thus, app design can’t begin with interface design in Photoshop or Illustrator. It has to start before that, with wireframe-based prototypes and basic designs. • That way, if change is necessary, it will take moments — not months — to apply. Starting the design process from a mobile standpoint forces us to prioritize, choose and above all alter our mental structure, which is accustomed to the larger screen of a desktop computer as a general point of departure. • When you’re designing a mobile app, you can’t just use your own phone for reference. If your target is the global mobile market, you’ve got to have access to at least Android, IOS and Windows Phone devices and grow accustomed to using them constantly in order to fully understand how to resolve different design scenarios on each platform. • The truth is that the world doesn’t begin and end with the IPhone. So many designers limit themselves to IOS, and when the time comes to design for Android, they just translate — often almost literally — the original app. • When designing for the web, it’s possible to watch a design come to life as you work. But with apps, you have to test on a mobile device in order to see how an interface will look (and function). Above all, such testing is imperative for choosing contrast and sizes.

  11. App designers must abandon the concept of creating something final. An app is never finished, because it’s a digital product that evolves over time. For this very reason, we can’t approach interface design with a definitive stance. • The truth is discovered through usability testing and deciphering what problems users encounter. One good way to get valuable design information is by reading official design guides for the latest OS versions. • You can also learn from industry leaders, like Josh Clark and Luke Wroblewski, to name just a couple. Staying on top of things also means trying tools that simplify design and make our work more efficient as they come onto the market. • We can’t be afraid of getting out of our comfort zone and abandoning our old ways of working and designing.
