  3. Prepares students for the AP Physics C Mechanics Test Requires calculus. Equivalent to a semester of university physics for physics and engineering majors. Mechanics topics include: kinematics, force, energy, momentum for objects that are moving with constant acceleration, changing acceleration, and rotating, rolling and oscillating AP Physics

  4. Prepares students for the IB Physics Standard Level Test Algebra Based Equivalent to a semester plus of college physics for non-physics and non-engineering majors. Topics include: mechanics, circuits, waves, optics, nuclear, relativity, particle physics IB Physics

  5. Dual Enrollment • Dual Enrollment course through CGCC – PHY 111! • PHY 111 Lecture– 4.0 credits • (lab section will be added later) • Transferable to all AZ Community Colleges & Universities! • TUITION: $76/credit = $304 + $15 application fee = $319 • More information will be given to students tomorrow in class, with application packet • For more information… • call Marina Giovannini, Dual Enrollment Coordinator at (480) 732-7239 or email her at marina.giovannini@cgcmail.maricopa.edu.

  8. Extra Help • Office hours: • Monday and Wednesday from 2:15 to 3:15. (Unless I have a meeting scheduled) • Students should schedule an appointment to make sure I am available • Science Learning Center: • after school Tuesdays and Thursdays • room 603
