  3. What Is Rust Prevention Technology? Rust prevention technology is a process that uses a chemical vapor to deposit a thin film onto the surface of metals. This thin film gives a hurdle between the metal and its current circumstance, which protects oxidation and corrosion.

  4. How Does It Work? When the volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) molecules in the vapor come into contact with the metal surface, they bond to it and form a fragile, transparent film. The film acts as a barrier between the metal and its surroundings, preventing water, oxygen, and other chemicals from coming into contact with the metal surface.
