Gratitude is more than you think There is no secret that the world is harder to live now, it is designed to distract us and is confusing than ever. The rates of depression, anxiety, addiction, obesity continues to rise all over the world. General disappointment, numbness, despondent and dissatisfaction are basically the new normal. If we begin to practice the basics of gratitude, we can change our fate and achieve any goal we set. Gratitude is the mother of morality.Hence it is paramount to know HOW TO PRACTICE GRATITUDE , HOW TO BE GRATEFUL AND HOW TO HELP OTHERS. Fundamentally, Gratitude is aspired to change three things. Your past, present and future. Every morning, you can activate an emotional state that flows throughout the day and helps to keep your momentum going. Don Sullivan, the founder of many important strategic theories, has an important concept called “THE GAP AND THE GAIN”. For example, if you buy a gift for your son on the way back to your home, he might say, “You didn’t get the one I like.” that’s the gap. Your son failed to acknowledge the effort you made to bring him a gift. He only noticed the thing wasn’t what he wanted. He didn’t appreciate the fact that he gained something. He only saw the gap. Most of the people in the world live their entire lives in the gap. The idea is quite straightforward: we tend to measure ourselves against our ideals, rather than comparing ourself against where we were before. Most of the people don’t like to set a goal because having an objective in life is emotionally taxing. People get emotionally attached to negative feelings from focusing on the wrong thing. Thus, when you live in gain, all you see is progress and what you focus expands. You get ahead of your emotions and experience progress without being emotionally attached to specific outcome.
