2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION One millilitre of solution contains20mg of iron as ironsucrose(iron(III)- hydroxide sucrosecomplex). Each 5 ml ampoule of WooferIVcontains 100 mg iron as ironsucrose(iron(III)- hydroxide sucrosecomplex).

3. CLINICAL PARTICULARS Woofer IV is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency in the followingindications: Where there is a clinical need for a rapid ironsupply, In patients who cannot tolerate oral iron therapy or who are non-compliant, Inactive inflammatory bowel disease where oral iron preparations areineffective, In chronic kidney disease when oral iron preparations are less effective.

4. CONTRAINDICATIONS The use of Woofer IV is contraindicated in the following conditions: Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to Woofer IV or any of itsexcipients Known serious hypersensitivity to other parenteral iron products Anaemia not caused byiron deficiency Evidence of iron overload or hereditary disturbances in utilization ofiron.

5. SPECIAL WARNINGSAND PRECAUTIONS FORUSE Parenterally administered iron preparationscan cause hypersensitivity reactionsincludingserious and potentially fatalanaphylactic/anaphylactoid reactions. Hypersensitivity reactionshavealso been reported after previously uneventfuldosesof parenteral iron complexes including ironsucrose. There have been reportsofhypersensitivity reactions which progressed toKounissyndrome (acute allergic coronary arteriospasm thatcan result in myocardialinfarction
