  4. SERVOSTAR 600 Announcements • Non-AS vs. -AS versions • The safety relay (AS) option of the SERVOSTAR 600 is a hardware safety function that is used in a minority of applications. When the SERVOSTAR 600 was introduced into North America, it was offered only with the -AS option. • The -AS option adds cost to the hardware. The non-AS version will be offered in North America as part of a price reduction program. Web-Cast Training For Best-In-Class Distributors

SERVOSTAR 600 Announcements • Non-AS vs. -AS versions • Beginning 9/02, the non-AS version of the SERVOSTAR 600 will be stocked in North America. • The AS-option will continue to be available. • Starting in 2003, it will not normally be stocked in North America. SERVOSTAR 600 Announcements • New: S640 and S670 • The SERVOSTAR 640 (40A/80A, RMS peak/cont.) and 670 (70A/140A) are available as standard products. • At the time of this notice, the S640 and S670 drives with the Extended IO card (EI) are not UL Listed and cannot be sold as a unit.
