  1. Will Only Members of The church of Christ Be Saved? Is it arrogant and self-righteous to claim that only members of the church of Christ will be saved?

  2. Why Is This Question Asked? • Never hear anyone ask, “Will only members of the Baptist Church be saved?” • Never hear anyone ask if only members of any particular denomination will be saved • Instead of being a question about members of the church of Christ, this is more of an accusation

  3. Why Is This Question Asked? • If one believes that only members of the church of Christ are saved, this is seen as arrogant and self-righteous • But, is it arrogant to claim that only those who are born again will be saved? • Or, is it arrogant to say only those who are in Christ will be saved?

  4. More People Than Just The church of Christ Will Be Saved • Those who lived before New Covenant that were faithful to God will be saved • Their salvation made possible through the blood of Christ which provided perfect sacrifice for all sins from the beginning until Jesus comes again

He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"

  22. Jesus’ One Church Followed Only Apostles’ Teaching • Rom 16:16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you. • Act 20:28 "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Jesus’ One Church Followed Only Apostles’ Teaching • Act 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. • 1Co 4:17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every church.

  24. Will Only Those Who Continue To Abide In Christ Be Saved? • Joh 15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. • Joh 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

Will Only Those Who Continue To Abide In Christ Be Saved? • Gal 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! • Gal 5:3 And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law. • Gal 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Will Only Members of The church of Christ Be Saved? • Faithful Jews and Gentiles dying before New Covenant are saved • Unaccountable children and mentally impaired are saved • Those born again, in Christ, are saved • New spiritual life begins when faith in Christ leads to repentance, confession of Jesus as Son of God and baptism

Will Only Members of The church of Christ Be Saved? • Those born again, in Christ, are added by Jesus to His one church He has promised to save • His church is not a collection of denominations or local churches but individuals who submit to the apostles’ teaching • Only those who continue to abide in Christ, the apostles’ teaching, will be saved
