  3. Idea #1: Facebook Groups • A lot of teenagers use Facebook • Facebook is an easy way to reach many people quickly and efficiently • For example, people can make Environmental awareness groups on Facebook, which promote improving our environment

  4. Idea #2 TV commercial • TV commercials that promote environment awareness • Unlike regular commercials this one will have many of the world’s presidents in it • By using presidents, people will see the magnitude of global warming and feel the necessity to do something about it

Idea #3 Eco-Friendly GPS • GPS systems on cell phones (in Japan) help navigate people to get to certain locations quickly and cost efficiently • Applying this technology to Global warming, phone companies should provide GPS service which tells people the most eco-friendly way to get to a destination

  7. For example, the navigation system will tell someone to walk one extra station rather than taking the train, or find the shortest distance if they have to go on a taxi • Users should get points every time they go an eco-friendly route, once they reach a certain number of points they should get benefits like lower phone bills

Example: Blue Route: Method of Transportation: Train Time it takes: 2 minutes on train + 1 minute waiting time Cost: 210 yen Train Line: Odakyu Line Station: Seijo Station to Soshigaya okura stations Eco-Points: 13 Green Route: Method of Transportation: Walking Time it takes: 11 minutes Cost: 0 yen Eco-Points: 121

Idea #4 Online Games • After a certain number of hours the online game will suddenly come to a stop • It will require you to go around your neighborhood and pick up trash • After that you must send the picture with a cell phone or through the internet and prove you did it • After an organization verifies you did it, the game will be resumed

  10. In order for this to work it must become a global law that online video games producers must implement this idea in their games • Using the fact that millions of people play online games, cities across the world will become clean in no time
