  2. What is ODN • ODN (Optical Distribution Network) is based on PON equipment, fiber optic cable network. It’s designed to provide the optical transmission channel between the OLT and ONU. • ODN is mainly used for FTTx network, to achieve the access device optical fiber connection. It can also be applied to the backbone network, metropolitan area network, to achieve the transmission equipment’s fiber optic connection.
