  3. What is the film about? • Janitor • Set in 80s/90s • Psychopath • Regular occurrence • Dweller definition – ‘a person or animal that lives in or at a specified place’

  4. Music • Music at the start, middle, end • Contrapuntal music • Natural sounds/sound effects • Absence of sound • The lyrics/singing comes in when we see his true colours

  5. How does the opening sequence make people want to watch more?

  6. Who are the characters? • The woman seems insignificant as there is evidence that this has happened before which gives the audience the idea to focus on the man. • The man is seen to be some sort of janitor as it also says in the credits the film is based off of the story ‘the janitor’

  8. What do we think happens next? • There are suggestions that we will see more dead women • All the shoes are the same and she looked like she was in a uniform of some sort which implies that he is either located in a certain area or has something against one type of woman

  9. Colours • White dress – innocence – doesn’t deserve to die • Man wearing colourful clothes relates to light hearted/ contrapuntal music. • Black shoes- all the woman are the same • Black shoes – represent death

  10. Good aspects and not so good • Good – contrapuntal music, the different camera shots (e.g. moving backwards) • Not so good – the continuity errors
