All information is available on the MyBenefits website or the Benefits website under Emory HR. 2010 Confirmation Statement of benefit elections will be mailed in early December.

    4. 2010 Plan Changes Vendor Consolidation Consolidation of medical, dental and behavioral health plans to one vendor - Aetna BCBS PPO plan eliminated Optum Health / UBH eliminated Humana / Comp Benefits Dental Access plan eliminated Consolidation of Life Insurance vendors across Emory to one vendor – The Standard ING Life Insurance eliminated New! Medical Plan – Aetna POS Value BCBS PPO will be replaced with the new Aetna POS Value Plan To keep the plan competitive and sustainable, some medical plans co-pays and deductibles are changing. Medical Plan Name Change – Aetna POS will become Aetna POS Plus Network Changes The In-Network benefit for hospital coverage (inpatient & outpatient) has been improved – the plan pays more. Only facilities that Emory owns, contracts or are affiliated with, will be paid at the Core Network level. Newton Medical, West Georgia Medical and Northside will be paid at the In-Network level in 2010.

    5. 2010 Plan Changes, contd. Co-pay & Deductible changes To keep the plan competitive and sustainable, some medical plan co-pays and deductibles are changing. Aetna POS Plus plan is introducing a deductible and coinsurance in the Core network. Spouse/SSDP Medical Charge If you cover your spouse/SSDP under an Emory medical plan and they have access to a medical plan through their employer, there will be an additional $50 per month medical charge applied to the cost of medical coverage. While access to Emory medical plans will still be provided, it will be at an additional cost. Part-time Medical Rate Employees working between 20 -29 hours regularly scheduled will pay a premium to continue to elect medical and dental benefits for themselves and their families in 2010. While access to Emory medical and dental plans will still be provided, it will be at an additional cost. Life Insurance Age Reduction moved from age 65 to 70 Guarantee Issue Amounts for Employee and Spouse/SSDP increase to $500K and $100K Maximum Supplemental policy amounts for Employee and Spouse/SSDP increase to $750K and $500K Up to a 20% reduction in the cost of supplemental life insurance rates across many age bands.

    6. 2010 Plan Changes, contd. Tier Zero – Smoking Cessation To support your efforts to stop tobacco usage, prescription Smoking Cessation medications will be added to the Tier Zero - $0 for 30-day or 90-day supply. New Additions: Nicotrol NS Nicotrol Inhaler Zyban Chantix
