  1. Best Dental Care Tips Brushing Brush at least twice a day. If possible, brushing after lunch will give you a good midday cleaning. Proper brushing takes at least two minutes. Always use a toothbrush with "soft" or "extra soft" bristles. Change your toothbrush every three month. Pay extra attention to the gumline, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration. Try to brush your teeth in the same order every day. Concentrate on thoroughly cleaning each section as follows: a) Clean the outer surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth b) Clean the inner surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth c) Clean the chewing surfaces d) For fresher breath, be sure to brush your tongue or use a tongue scraper. Flossing Proper flossing removes plaque and food particles in places where a toothbrush cannot easily reach — under the gumline and between your teeth. Floss at least once a day. Choose the type that works best for youThere are many types of floss: waxed and unwaxed, flavored and unflavored, ribbon and thread. Try a few before you settle on one to use every day. The proper procedures are as follows: a) Starting with about 18 inches of floss, wind most of the floss around each middle finger, leaving an inch or two of floss to work with. b) Holding the floss tautly between your thumbs and index fingers, slide it gently up-and-down between your teeth. c) Gently curve the floss around the base of each tooth, making sure you go beneath the gumline. Never snap or force the floss, as this may cut or bruise delicate gum tissue. d) Use clean sections of floss as you move from tooth to tooth. e) To remove the floss, use the same back-and-forth motion to bring the floss up and away from the teeth.

  2. See your dental professionals regularly First, it is important to find a dentist with whom you feel comfortable. On your first visit to a dentist, they will take a full health history. On subsequent visits, if your health status has changed, make sure to tell them. Most dental visits are checkups. Regular checkups (ideally every six months) will help your teeth stay cleaner, last longer and can prevent painful problems from developing. A thorough cleaning Checkups almost always include a complete cleaning, either from your dentist or a dental hygienist. A full examination Your dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth, looking for signs of disease or other problems. His or her goal is to help maintain your good oral health and to prevent problems from becoming serious, by identifying and treating them as soon as possible. X-rays Depending on your age, risks of disease and symptoms, your dentist may recommend X-rays. X- rays can diagnose problems otherwise unnoticed, such as damage to jawbones, impacted teeth, abscesses, cysts or tumors, and decay between the teeth. Good eating habits for healthy teeth Choosing the right foods in your diet is an important aspect in having healthy teeth and good oral hygiene. Establishing good nutritional habits in kids and teenagers can be especially beneficial for good eating patterns and food choices throughout their lives. Choosing a Healthy Diet Choosing a healthy diet may sound easy; however, fruits, milk, cereals, bread and some vegetables contain sugars and / or starches. Carbonated sodas, sweet fruit drinks and sugary snack foods should be limited. You don’t have to avoid these foods, just keep in mind that you should eat a balanced diet, brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily. Healthy Tips •Drink plenty of water •Eat a variety of healthy foods from the five major food groups •Cut down on snacking in between meals •Limit snacks and drinks that are high in sugar The information came from cheap electric toothbrush: http://alltoothbrush.com
