HENCE, THE TERMINAL VETTING TERMINALS ??

DATABASE WAS BORN

Slide13 l.jpg

WE KEPT IT SIMPLE TERMINALS ??

ONE PAGE

USER-FRIENDLY

Slide14 l.jpg

THE RATINGS TERMINALS ??

1. Poor: Worse than average in all areas. Needs lot of

improvement.

2. Below Average: Worse than average in some areas. Could use

some improvement.

3. Average: Fully adequate.

4. Above Average: Better than average in some regards.

5. Excellent: Of a very high quality in all regards.

Slide15 l.jpg

The Questions Asked TERMINALS ??

Slide17 l.jpg

We have learned TERMINALS ??

…Only 22 percent of terminals accept slops!!

…Only 29 percent of loadports issue MSDS’s

This is interesting to us l.jpg
THIS IS INTERESTING TO US TERMINALS ??

  • BECAUSE IT IDENTIFIES MORE WAYS FOR US TO IMPROVE OUR LOT

  • AND IN SO DOING, VALIDATES THE TVD PROGRAM

Slide19 l.jpg

3 LEVELS OF UTILITY TERMINALS ??

Level 1: Vessel Manager can review terminals

prior to vessel’s call

Level 2: Owners can review and follow up on

any problems individually with his terminal

counterparts

Level 3: The Intertanko Vetting Committee can be tasked to follow up with any “problem terminals” not responding to Owner’s observations

Level 2 l.jpg
Level 2 TERMINALS ??

  • IS WHERE WE SEE THE GREATEST UTILITY OF THE SYSTEM.

  • Because it provides a direct avenue for Owner to work with terminal to fix problems without making a huge issue out of it.

But level 3 l.jpg
But Level 3 TERMINALS ??

  • Remains as a viable alternative if a resolution cannot be effected

But there are other uncharted synergies l.jpg
BUT THERE ARE OTHER UNCHARTED SYNERGIES TERMINALS ??

…ANALYSIS BY INTERTANKO

…IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEM TERMINALS

…BUILDING OF ALLIANCES WITH LIKE-MINDED ORGANIZATIONS

WHO KNOWS WHAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH

THROUGH MUTUAL COOPERATION ??

Slide23 l.jpg

TO DATE WE HAVE RECEIVED OVER 7000 REPORTS TERMINALS ??

INDUCED AT LEAST THREE TERMINALS TO MAKE

EXTENSIVE IMPROVEMENTS

We also can report that BP recently agreed to participate, and has 40 staffers involved collecting and inputting reports!!

And one other oil major has just expressed high interest in it.

BUT THERE IS MUCH MORE TO DO!!

So please l.jpg
