  1. POINTS TO PONDER – NATA 2019-2020 2019-20 has been a boon for all Architecture aspirants which has seen a lot of changes with rules implemented post litigations and prayers with due consideration from Council of Architecture. Below mentioned are some of the changes in NATA -2019-20. a)2 Attempts: - Students appearing for NATA in 2019-20 gets two chances towards appearing for exam. The first attempt will be in the month of 14th April 2019 and the second attempt will be in the month of 7th July. A reason for the change as stated by the concerned authorities seem to be the limited time the students get towards preparation and many students missing the chance due to their hectic preparation for regular examination. The 2 attempts will ensure that students are given enough time for preparation and do encourage more number of students to write the exam without a miss. We foresee better results with a good fest of competition this year. You are hereby requested to confirm on the 2 attempts at the time of registration. The best among the scores would be considered for final admission process b)90 Minutes to 120 Minutes: This refers towards tweaking time frame on the drawing part. This change was incorporated as many have stated reasons towards incompletion with regards to drawing section. The earlier pattern had given equal time frame for drawing and aptitude at 90 minutes, this change should be a welcome breeze for many who find drawing a challenge and helps decrease the failure rate in students. c)Centralized counselling process: This had been one of the biggest headaches since all previous years where the aspirants have to apply for college admission separately in different states. . Parents who have a nominal exposure towards this industry had headaches prior to the start of the examination. Some of the concerns include availability of right information on the dates for counselling, procedures for counselling, list of colleges, admission process; post admission formalities, queries about quality of colleges in the state and options available, reservation policies in colleges. The proposed suggestion hopes to take care of all the headache of parents in helping their ward towards securing a seat in a good college. The council also foresees towards filling up vacancies with local students in the concerned states and the remaining seats can be placed open for the candidates from different states. This process, the council ensures a mutual benefit of reducing headaches among parents and ensures all seats in the states are filled. d)ELIGIBILITY: - The required eligibility of a candidate towards appearing for NATA (2019-20) exams has to have subjects such as Maths, Physics and Chemistry with 50 % Marks as a mandatory requirement. The year (2019-20) does not allow any diploma holder unlike the previous year to be eligible for the exam. Besides subjects the candidate should also have scored 50 % overall in the final year subjects.

  2. The registration for NATA has commenced with dates for attempts, registration dates initiated from 24/01/2019 and the end date till 12/6/2019. Students are requested to take this year’s exam seriously for 2 reasons. One reason for its 2 attempts both which happens post your final exam. The second reason, as we are expecting more number of students attempting to take up this exam as they have a focused 4 months to prepare without any disturbance. The number of students who had appeared last year was 40,000 as per the COA, We are expecting the number to double this year with NATA being conducted twice.
