Genes definitely play an important role ion a human's weight gain, however, balance in energy is derivedu00a0by calories intake and personal physical activity. Is Obesity an Epidemic ? • Obesity has been termed as an epidemic BY WHO as across the globe, there are 1 billion + overweight adults, at least 300 million of them obese. • Obesity and overweight pose a major risk for chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and stroke, and certain forms of cancer.
