THE DUTIES AND AUTHORITY OF THE INDONESIAN ELECTION COMMISSION THE ORGANIZATIONAL BODY: • AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL : NATIONAL ELECTION COMMISSION (KPU) • AT THE PROVINCIAL LEVEL: PROVINCIAL ELECTION COMMISSION (KPU PROVINSI) • AT THE REGENCIAL/MUNICIPAL LEVEL : REGENCIAL OR MUNICIPAL ELECTION COMMISSION (KPU KABUPATEN/KOTA) • A COMPLEMENTER BODY “ BAWASLU”ELECTION SUPERVISORY BOARD ALSO BEING ESTABLISHED (BAWASLU).

THE DUTIES AND AUTHORITY • PLANNING, ORGANIZING, BUDGETING AND SCHEDULE RANDOWN • ESTABLISHING THE MECHANISM AND STANDARD OPERATION PROCEDURES FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION AT PROVINCIAL, REGENCY/MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL LEVEL AS WELL AS INTER-STATE LEVEL • ESTABLISHING GENERAL AND TECHNICAL GUIDELINES BASEN ON LAW NO. 10/2008 AS A NATIONAL RULE ON GENERAL ELECTION MECHANISM AND LAW NO. 2/2008 ON POLITICAL PARTY. • POLITICAL PARTIES UPDATING THE VOTER’S DATA BASE AND PERMANENT REGISTER LIST

CONTINUES LIST OF THE DUTIES AND AUTHORITY • CONFIRMING OFFICIAL ELECTION CONTESTANT • CONFIRMING AND ANNOUNCING RECONSILIATION RESULT BASED ONPROVINCIAL, REGENCIAL AND MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULT • CONFIRMING AND ANNOUNCING THE NUMBERS OF SEATS AVAILABLE FOR NATIONAL, PROVINCIAL , REGENCY/MUNICIPAL REPRESENTATIVE ASEMBLY, • ANNOUNCING ELECTED CANDIDATES FOR THE PROVINCIAL, REGENCY/MUNICIPALS REPRENTATIVE ASEMBLY • DETERMINING STANDARD AND NEEDS OF THE ELECTION SUPPLIES AND ITS DISTRIBUTION

CONTINUES LIST : • CONDUCTING SOCIALIZATION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ELECTION AND/OR OTHER THING RELATED TO DUTIES AND AUTHORITIES • APPOINTING PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT’S OFFICE TO AUDIT THE CAMPAIGN FUNDS AND REPORTING ITS RESULT • TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION COMPLAINT REPORT ON THE EXISTENCE ON VIOLATION AGAINST THE CODE OF ETHICS CONDUCTED BY MEMBERS OF NATIONAL, PROVINCIAL AND REGENCIAL/MUNICIPALS AND OVERSEAS ELECTION BOARD • FOLLOWING-UP THE FINDING AND REPORT ENDORSE BY BAWASLU AND GIVE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OR ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTION TO THE MEMBER OF NATIONAL, PROVINCIAL, REGENCIAL/MUNICIPAL AND OVERSEAS ELECTIOPN BOARD THAT JEOPARDIZED THE ELECTION IMPLEMENTATION STAGES.
