  1. You are a New Creation • 2Corinthians 5:17 NKJV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NOTE: In Christ means you received Him as Savior. You are not an improved you but a completely Brand-New Person. Redeemed, Completely Forgiven, Clean, Holy, Pure…etc.

  2. A HEART OF STONE A stone is cold, hard, dead! A heart hardened by sin, and confirmed in it. The corrupted nature of man. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

BEFORE YOU WERE BORN AGAIN YOU HAVE A HEART OF STONE Ezekiel 36:26 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:27 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

  4. BEFORE YOU WERE BORN AGAIN YOU HAVE A HEART OF STONE  When we stubbornly refuse to follow God, our hearts, which were designed to communicate with God, are hardened. God compares rebellious hearts to stone (Zechariah 7:12). A heart of stone finds it impossible to repent, to love God, or to please Him (Romans 8:8). The hearts of sinful humanity are so hardened that we cannot even seek God on our own (Romans 3:11),.

  5. A HEART OF STONE We desperately need new hearts, for we are unable on our own to soften our hard hearts. A change of heart toward God requires a supernatural transformation. Jesus called it being “born again” (John 3:3). When we are born again, God performs a heart transplant, as it were. He gives us a new heart. The power of the Holy Spirit changes our hearts from sin-focused to God-focused.  .

  6. THE NEW CREATION HAS A NEW HEART John 3:7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' Ezekiel 36:26 …I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! .

  7. THE NEW CREATION HAS THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HIS HEART Ezekiel 36:27 "I will put My Spirit within you. Receiving Him as our Savior gives us access to God and His power—a power to transform our hearts from sin-hardened to Christ-softened. When we were separated from God with hardened hearts, we found it impossible to please Him. We tended toward selfishness, rebellion, and sin. With new hearts we are declared righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21).

  8. THE NEW CREATION HAS THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HIS HEART Romans 8:9b… And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 1Corinthians 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

  9. A NEW CREATION FOR AN EVER-INCREASING FRUITFULNESS • Ezekiel 36:29 I will save you from everything that defiles you. I will command the grain to be plentiful, so that you will not have any more famines. • Ezekiel 36:30 I will increase the yield of your fruit trees and your fields, so that there will be no more famines to disgrace you among the nations.

BENEFITS OF HAVING A NEW HEART Washed clean (1 Corinthians 6:11) Made at peace with God (Romans 5:1) We have been given every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3) Reconciled to God (Romans 5:10) Redeemed (Ephesians 1:7)  Freed from condemnation (Romans 8:1 ) Indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9) Adopted as sons (Romans 8:14-15) Sanctified (made holy)  Made complete (Colossians 2:9-10) Made into a holy and royal priesthood (1 Peter2:5,9) Translated out of death into life (John 5:24) Made holy and blameless (Colossians 1:22)  Made perfect forever (Hebrews 10:14)

MORE BENEFITS OF HAVING A NEW CREATION Like A New-Born Babe (1Peter 2:2 ) Have A New Identity (2 Cor 5:17) Living in A New Way (Hebrews 10:19 ) Under A New Covenant (Hebrews 12:24 ) With A New Family (Romans 12:5) Singing A New Song (2Peter 3:13 ) Assured of A New Heaven & A New Earth (2Peter 3:13 )

  12. Revelation 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

AS A NEW CREATION YOU MUST… Always be Excited with God’s Goodness Keep God First Place in Your Life Release Negative Thoughts and Experiences Never Let Go of Your Mission and Dreams Be Selective about What You Feed your Heart Be Conscious of Your New Identity Be Sensitive the Holy Spirit Within You
