  2. COMODO DRAGON • The Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) is the world's largest and heaviest lizard, native to the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Dasami, and Gili Motang. They are a type of monitor lizard, and their bite is venomous.

FEATURES OF COMODO DRAGON • Size: Komodo dragons can grow up to 3 meters (10 feet) long and weigh around 70 kg (154 pounds). • Diet: They are carnivores and primarily eat large animals like deer, wild pigs, and even water buffalo. • Venom: Their bite is venomous, which helps them subdue their prey. • Habitat: They are endemic to a few Indonesian islands, with the largest population in Komodo National Park. • Conservation Status: Komodo dragons are considered vulnerable, though their numbers are more stable than they used to be, says the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). • Behavior: They are known for being strong, aggressive, and intelligent predators.
