The sudden occurrence of these viruses has claimed many lives. and also challenged our healthcare system and our understanding of infectious diseases. COVID-19: In the 21st century, one of the most significant viruses is the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. Due to millions of deaths and infections worldwide, it weakened the economy and healthcare system. HIV/AIDS:HIV made an appearance in the late 20th century but its impact continued into the 21st century. This virus makes individuals vulnerable to various infections and cancers and weakens the immune system. Over 75 million people got infected at the start of the epidemic, and more than 32 million human beings died from AIDS-related illnesses. Ebola virus: In West Africa, the Ebola virus outbreaks in 2014-2016 subject to death in high numbers of people. It causes severe hemorrhagic fever making vaccines and treatments less effective. Nipah virus: The Nipah virus is connected to pigs and bats and outbreaks in Southeast Asia. This virus poses a threat to public health with its high mortality rate.
