  1. September 11th Program: Created to empower children and families affected by September 11th through a holistic approach. As children and families affected by September 11th grow over time, they may face new challenges at various stages of development. The September 11th Program was created to help children and families better cope with challenges and setbacks they are experiencing by connecting them with in-home and/or community services. Are your child/s emotional and behavioral challenges…. Interfering with family and peer relationships or school performance? Creating nervousness, changes in sleeping patterns, hyperactivity or mood swings? Developing into poor social skills? Preventing you from being able to enjoy parenting? Getting worse as your child gets older? WHAT IS IT? Services are free and completely confidential and may include one or more of the following: mentoring, in-home family therapy, group therapy and connection to local and state-wide community resources. WHY IS THIS PROGRAM UNIQUE? The nature and range of services are developed collaboratively with the family and tailored to capitalize on existing strengths and individual and collective needs.
