  2. What is Rudrabhishek ? Lord Shiva is also known by the name of Rudra - that represents his fiercest form. The shiv Rudrabhishek refers to the ritual bath of the Shiv Lingam. It is one of the most significant and popular ceremonies to please Lord Shiva and is seen as the greatest spiritual puja in all the Vedic scriptures. Performing this puja bestows one with health, wealth and happiness and offers protection against enemies, negativity, and evil. Visit Us-https://indspiritual.com

How Rudrabhishek is performed? • Shiva Lingam is first washed by water along with the continuous chanting of the Vedic mantra - RudraSukhta, which is popularly known as the Shiv Rudrabhishek mantra. Other items like cow milk, coconut water, rice, powdered sugar, ghee, curd, honey, sugarcane juice, etc are mixed together and then poured on the shiva lingam. • Vedic Sadhaks perform the Rudrabhishek which begins with Lakshmi Ganesh Puja in the morning. After this, Shivlingabhishek is carried out throughout the day using the above-mentioned items while chanting the rudrabhishek mantra. • Later, flowers especially lotus flowers are used to decorate the Shivling and apart from flowers, leaves of the BilvaPatra tree are also used for decoration purposes. After all these rituals, aarti of 108 diyas is performed at the end and prasad is distributed among the Sadhaks and devotees who attend the puja. Visit Us-https://indspiritual.com

Chanting of Mantras Most commonly the mantras chanted during Rudrabhishek is ShriRudramChamakam जगताम् पतये नमः ।jagatăm pataye namaha । (Yajurveda 16.18)देवानां हृदयभ्यो नमो । devănăm hridayebhyo namo । (Yajurveda 16.46) Meaning:Homage to the Lord of the Universe.Salutations to him who is in heart of the gods. नम् वशिाय च वशितराय च।namaḥśivāyacaśivatarāyaca Meaning:Salutations unto Śiva the auspicious one, unto Śivatara the one than whom none more auspicious can exist.
