  1. 6 Tips to Organise a Self-Storage Unit

  2. 1. Use one box size for the majority of your items. Same-size boxes make for easier stacking and access. Most self-storage facilities in Singapore offer boxes of different sizes to store most of your belongings. 2. Separate items you may need to access later on. Seasonal items such as clothing, trip equipment, and holiday supplies may need to be accessed later on. So, you might want to organise them accordingly. 3. Label the boxes. Besides stacking your items according to when you’ll need them, it also pays to label each box on the top and on at least one side for easier access. Be as detailed as possible with the labels.

  3. 4. Create a master list. Having that said, you might also want to write down on the label all of the items each box contains. It may seem like a cumbersome step, but trust us, it will be all worth it in the future. 5. Plan a layout. As mentioned, the time will come you’ll have to access your unit to fetch some seasonal items. So, you’ll want to organise these boxes according to when you’ll need them. 6. Upgrade to a larger unit. You can always shelve or stack your boxes, but that makes retrieving items quite difficult. So, should the time come your unit is also filled to the brim, you might consider upgrading to a larger unit.
