Importance of IVF Treatment with Donor Eggs in India

IVF or in vitro fertilization is one of the best treatments for infertility in India. In this procedure, mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries of the woman and fertilized in a special machine called an IVF incubator. 1. Importance of IVF Treatment with Donor Eggs in India IVF or in vitro fertilization is one of the best treatments for infertility in India. In this procedure, mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries of the woman and fertilized in a special machine called an IVF incubator. When an embryo is produced, it will be then transferred to the woman's uterus where it will go through various development phases. If a woman is not capable of producing healthy eggs due to low ovarian reserve, premature ovarian failure, or old age; getting a donor will be ideal! Donor egg IVF is the second best treatment for infertility in India for women who can’t conceive using other treatments, those who want to avoid passing down of any known genetic condition, and those who have undergone chemotherapy or any other such medical procedures. Donor egg IVF may also be suitable for same-sex male couples who want to start a family! How does donor egg IVF work? In a typical IVF scenario, the woman will take fertility drugs to stimulate egg production in the ovaries. Once the eggs mature, they are retrieved and fertilized with the sperm cells in a petri dish. That's why the process is also called ‘test tube baby.’ The resulting embryos will be transferred to the mother's uterus. When there's a donor, the first step may not be required at all. That's because all qualified donors are younger than 36 and are healthy. They are thoroughly screened to ensure they have good fertility. This way, the clinic can ensure the success of the treatment! The first step is finding a fertility clinic. Make sure that the one you are choosing is reliable and operating legally. After this, the next step is finding the right donor. The clinic will take you through the process of selecting; keeping in mind your personal preferences and requirements. If you are using fresh donor eggs, the clinic has to synchronise you and your donor's cycle to make sure that your womb is ready to receive the embryo. After collecting the eggs from the donor, the embryologist will fertilize them with the sperm cells.
