Ballistic Helmets Counter PrevailingThreats Ballistic Helmets are among the oldest form of Personal Protective Equipment that provides ballistic protection from fragmenting to the head, ear and neck of the wearer. Ballistic Military Helmets are intended to protect the head of wearer while providing sufficient amount of comfort.Ballistic impact is one of the major causes for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and ballistic helmets are designed to provide protection from TBI. So, the Ballistic Helmet is the only protection against head injuries individual protective equipment in today’sworld. Ballistic helmet materials and designs have been improved from time to time mainly to counter prevailing threats and invention of new or improved ballistic material. New material such as Kevlar® and Aramid began replacing Steel as the primary material for ballistichelmets. Today most of the combat helmets designed in a way in order to meet modern warfare requirements and upgraded with pica tinny rails, mounting cameras, face shields, night vision gogglesetc ELEMENTS OF BALLISTICHELMET The Four basic that forms part of a Ballistic Helmet are as follows:- 1.SHELL SUSPENSIONSYSTEM FACESHIELD RETENTION SYSTEM Hard Shell is one of the largest manufacturers of ballistic helmets.
